Red Mango

I went to the‘Village’ in New York, which is supposed to be a happenin’ place for food and partying at night. It was a weekday, so it wasn’t at its best, but it was quite alive. We were walking down Madison Square Park, NYU, through Bleeker Street, and we stopped by for some yogurt at Red Mango. I was wondering what toppings to opt for, when my friend Jill recommended some ‘mochi’ and strawberry along with yogurt. I gave her a look which said, what??? Mochi!!! (mochi means ‘cobbler’ in India).‘Mochi’ is an Asian something made up of rice crisps. Now,I didn’t know that. The yogurt was delicious. Tasted like a better version of ice-cream. Anyway, I asked for the smallest serving, and I wasn’t even able to finish it. Sometimes I think things are unnecessarily huge in the USA. I had to ask Jill to eat up all the ‘mochi’ while I enjoyed the strawberries and the yogurt. But, a thumbs up for this place. Interesting stuff!
